Ashley P. Moseley
Studio owner, certified clogging and hip hop instructor
Ashley began clogging at age 4 and hasn't stopped moving her feet since! She has performed and competed all over the country including appearances at Las Vegas, Florida, Disney World, and Hawaii, and most recently competed internationally at the Dance World Cup! She is a Certified Clogging Instructor through the National Clogging Hall of Fame.
Ashley graduated from ASU with a degree in Communications, a minor in Dance, and a certification in Classical Pilates. In 2021 Ashley returned to school at UNC Chapel Hill and earned her Digital Marketing Certificate.
Ashley is deeply passionate about sharing her love for dance – especially clogging – whether she’s teaching in the studio or performing in the community. She is the owner and operator of Payne's Advertising in Boone and is also a children’s author, having published three children’s STEM books beginning with her debut title Nacho House Cat. When she’s not dancing, teaching, or writing, Ashley can most often be found at the beach!
Samantha Orego
Samantha has been dancing for over 20 years. She completed her Masters Degree in Elementary Education with a Dance Minor at Appalachian State in 2017. Immediately after, she began clogging with Appalachian Rhythm, and started teaching in 2024.
Samantha is a 6th Grade Math & Science teacher with Catawba County Schools for the past 10 years, and also owns an online marketing business with her husband.
Samantha got married in June this year and is enjoying life with her new husband! She loves Jesus, spending time with family, Christmas, the snow, traveling, the beach, her cat- Babycat and bunny-Murphy.
Sydney Whisnant
Sydney is a life-long Hickory native. She began studying ballet, tap, and jazz at the age of two and her clogging training at age 3 with the Sims Country Cloggers. At age 19, she continued with Hot Foot Cloggers in Asheville and was a part of multiple team grand championships, numerous solo awards, and a team National Championship. Sydney has performed and competed at many amazing places including Walt Disney World, the Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C., the Dixie Stampede, and MerleFest. In 2012, She was inducted into the Junior Hall of Fame for ACHF. At the age of 6 she competed in the Jr. World Olympics and brought home a gold and silver!
She loves to teach and choreograph and hopes to pass on her passion and love to generations to come. Sydney is married and a mom to a poodle and two golden doodles. She loves Disney and loves Jesus even more. She is very excited to be a part of Appalachian Rhythm.
Cheyenne Rhoney
Cheyenne has been clogging since she was four years old and has spent years developing a love for both performing and competing. She has earned multiple team and solo national titles and was honored to be inducted into the American Clogging Hall of Fame (ACHF) All-American team and receive her jacket!
She has assistant teaching experience with dancers ages 5–12 and enjoys helping young dancers grow in both skill and confidence. Of all the opportunities clogging has given her, performing in parades is her favorite because of the energy, excitement, and chance to share her love of dance with the community.
Cheyenne is currently studying Elementary Education at Lenoir-Rhyne University. Outside of dance, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, loves anything bright, colorful, and fun, and has a soft spot for turtles—her favorite animal. Her positive attitude, creativity, and enthusiasm make her a wonderful addition to the Appalachian Rhythm teaching staff.
