Ashley Payne Cook -

Owner, Certified Clogging & Hip Hop Instructor

Ashley Cook began clogging at age 4 and hasn't stopped moving her feet since! She has clogged all over the country including Las Vegas, Florida, Disney World and Hawaii. She is a Certified Clogging Instructor through the National Clogging Hall of Fame. Ashley enjoys teaching workshops at Smoky Mountain Encore in Gatlinburg, TN and Mountain Madness in Wilkesboro. Ashley graduated from ASU with a degree in Communications, minored in Dance, and also received her certification in Classical Pilates. In 2021 she returned to school at UNC Chapel Hill for Digital Marketing. Ashley is passionate about sharing her love for dance, especially clogging, with others; whether that is in the studio teaching or out in the community performing. She is also the owner and operator of Payne's Advertising in Boone and a proud mother of her 12 year old daughter, Stella!

Isabella Brumfield

Clogging & Hip Hop Instructor

Isabella grew up in Elkin NC, and has danced for 18 years - You've probably seen her this season as a Tweetsie clogger and performer. Isabella is also a student at App State with a major in Theatre Performance and a dance minor. Growing up she danced for 12 years at Rhythm on Main, in downtown Elkin, and a studio called, Dance With Mitzi, in Boonville for 4 years. Isabella has taken Ballet, Jazz, and Tap since she was 2, and Hip-hop and Lyrical/Contemporary since the age of 9. She was an assistant teacher for the junior tap company and the teen jazz/lyrical company for two years and the assistant choreographer for the hip hop production company for 3. She has also taken intensive classes at Broadway Dance Center in New York City and attended several conventions with intensive jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, and contemporary classes across north and South Carolina! She excited to be a part of the team now at App Rhythm! 

Sarah Bruce -

Clogging & Hip Hop Instructor

Sarah is from Mount Holly, NC, where she grew up as a dancer from age 2. She danced for a total of 16 years with Mount Holly’s Rhonda’s School of Dance, 13 of which were with the studio’s competition team. There, she competed with Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, and Clogging routines until graduating high school. She was also the captain of her high dance team, The Ladybirds for all four years at Mountain Island Charter School. Sarah’s dream growing up was to continue her work in the studio and to share her love of dance with the world. Since graduating high school in 2021, she has moved to Boone and is finishing her associates degree. She’s very happy to be joining the AppRhythm Team!
