Ashley Cook

Owner, Clogging Instructor

Ashley Cook began clogging at age 4 and hasn't stopped moving her feet since! She has clogged all over the country including Las Vegas, Florida, Disney World and Hawaii. She is a Certified Clogging Instructor through the National Clogging Hall of Fame. Ashley enjoys teaching workshops at Smoky Mountain Encore in Gatlinburg, TN and Mountain Madness in Wilkesboro. Ashley graduated from ASU with a degree in Communications, minored in Dance, and also received her certification in Classical Pilates.  Ashley is passionate about making a difference in the community; she serves on the board of the Blowing Rock Rotary, and works as the Development Director at WAMY Community Action. In addition to this, she is the owner and operator of Payne's Advertising. Ashley is a proud mother of her 6 year old daughter, Stella, and enjoys spending time with her!

Chynna Birkmire

Clogging Instructor

Chynna Birkmire has been clogging since she was little but began clogging with AppRhythm in 2009. She and her younger brother, Addison (who also clogs), are from Wilkesboro, NC. Chynna has won numberous awards (including a National Grand Championship) for her solos! In addition to having a National Title under her belt, she won the "All That Challenge" and had the honor of dancing with the world-renowned clogging group "All That" at the Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach! She recently auditioned for the Bailey Mountain Cloggers at Mars Hill University and made the team! She will be attending MHU in the fall of 2018. You can see Chynna this summer at Tweetsie Railroad as a Tweetsie clogger AND as a dancer in Miss Lil's Can-Can Revue! We are grateful and happy to have Chynna on our team and part of our stellar teaching staff!

Terri Miller

Silver Cloggers Instructor

Terri Miller is Elise's mom! She was basically forced in to clogging at the start of Appalachian Rhythm but she quickly fell in love with it and hasn't stopped since. In the Spring of 2017, she wanted to compete in the Senior Games here in Boone so she put together a group of her clogging friends (who were also "age eligible") and they won by a landslide! Next up are the State Games in Raleigh! Terri decided she would like to start a clogging class for the wise but young-at-heart. She'd love to have you join her!
