“Showcase of the
Stars”
4th Annual Appalachian Rhythm Spring Recital

Watauga High School
This is our End of the Year show! All of
our teams perform the dances they have worked on so hard throughout the
year. This show also serves as a fundraiser for the studio. We raise
money for scholarships for Clog Camp during the summer and for tuition
for the Fall Semester. We raise money by asking each dancer to get at
least two sponsors. These sponsors are usually local businesses but can
also be family and friends. The sponsors receive advertisement in our
program and the sponsors of $25 or more receive a free ticket to the
show. Money is also raised through ticket sales.

Tickets: $10 per adult and $7 per child (3 and under free)
Bethany Baptist Church

Directions: Take 421 toward Mountain City, TN.
At the intersection where Rite Aid and First Baptist Church is turn
left on Hwy 67. About 5 miles from the turn you'll pass a
prison on the left. Bethany Baptist Church is the first church
on the right about ½ mile later.

The balance of camp fees is due by 9AM on the first day of camp.
During Clog Camp, we learn many of our new competition routines for the following year and also many fun show routines. Everyone is encouraged to participate and competition team members are required. Scholarships are available upon request. Our celebrity guest instructor for the past two years has been Brandon Norris and we hope to have him again this year!

Smoky Mountain Encore
Gatlinburg, TN

This is not only a competition, but a
workshop too! There are two full days of workshops for dancers to
attend (Friday-Saturday). They have a new workshop beginning every hour
for each level. This is probably the most expensive event that
AppRhythm does, but it is worth it! It is usually around $45 for a
dancer to attend the workshops and $12 per dance to compete. Spectator tickets
are around $20 for the weekend which gets you into the competition on
Friday night and the show on Saturday night. The show is comprised of
selected clogging teams who perform a choreographed routine in a themed
production show. We have been part of this major production every year
we have attended Encore and it is a special privilege to be chosen to be
in this show!

we generally wear out teal App Rhythm t-shirts and black pants.
Teams who compete will be told which costumes to bring to each
competition depending on which dances we will be competing.
